Conor McGregor Teases ‘Road House 2’ Return After Breaking Dwayne Johnson’s Hollywood Record with Jake Gyllenhaal Starrer.
Conor McGregor, known for his journey as an MMA champion and businessman, has made a significant move into Hollywood with his debut in ‘Road House.’ This film is a reimagining of the popular 80s classic of the same name. The story centers around a troubled UFC fighter who works as a bouncer named Dalton (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) in a beach club, where he encounters the main antagonist, Knox, portrayed by Conor McGregor.
Released exclusively on Amazon Prime, ‘Road House’ was anticipated to be a blockbuster for McGregor. However, the film received mixed reviews from fans. Despite the varied opinions, it garnered massive viewership. Regardless of the mixed reactions, it seems a sequel might be in the works, hinted at by Conor McGregor himself.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson earned a significant paycheck for his Hollywood debut in ‘The Mummy Returns,’ making $5.5 million, one of the largest sums for a debut by an outsider. However, Conor McGregor surpassed this with his role in ‘Road House,’ earning between $6 million and $10 million for his portrayal of Knox.
Initially, McGregor stated he would not return to acting after his Hollywood debut. “I’m not sure if I will go through it again, but it’s in the bank, it’s in the history books. Money can come and go, but this film will be there forever,” he said. However, it appears McGregor has had a change of heart. Recently, he posted a photo on Instagram with Jake Gyllenhaal, captioning it with “Road House 2,” suggesting he might return for the sequel.
