Dwayne Johnson has announced he will not endorse Joe Biden for the upcoming presidential election, despite having supported Biden during the 2020 campaign.
The actor, known for his roles in “Jungle Cruise” and “Black Adam,” shared this update in a recent Fox News interview. This statement comes ahead of his performance at WrestleMania 40, marking his first WWE appearance since 2016.
Johnson had previously endorsed Biden, citing his centrist views and belief that Biden, alongside Kamala Harris, was the best choice for leadership. At that time, Johnson had said he was using his platform to support Biden over then-Republican candidate Donald Trump.
However, Johnson now regrets that endorsement and has decided to remain neutral in the upcoming election. He told Fox News, “I will keep my politics to myself” and confirmed he will not support Biden this year.
Johnson expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the country but remains optimistic about America’s future. He explained that his previous endorsement was based on his judgment at the time and now prefers to keep his political views private.
He added that he trusts the American people to choose their leaders and will support whoever is elected. While some fans appreciate his choice to keep his political preferences private, others speculate that his decision might be seen as indirectly supporting Trump, though Johnson has not endorsed Trump.
Additionally, Johnson dismissed rumors about his own political ambitions, stating he is focused on family matters rather than pursuing a political career.
