Kim Kardashian recently showed her support for David Jassy, a former inmate turned singer, by sharing his journey with her followers.
The reality TV star and aspiring lawyer took to Instagram to highlight Jassy, who performs under the name Dawda. In her Stories, she posted a video of the artist and reflected on their shared experiences.
Kardashian, who has been studying law in recent years, shared, “David Jassy spent 15 years in San Quentin prison, where I had the chance to meet him and learn about his music program and the Ear Hustle podcast.”
Expressing her admiration, she added, “I’m proud that he’s now home and making music.” She followed up with another post, praising Jassy’s song Get Your Number and congratulating him on his achievements.
This public endorsement is part of Kardashian’s broader efforts to advocate for prison and criminal justice reforms. She has been vocal about her mission and often shares updates about her legal studies on social media.
Kardashian began her law journey in 2019, inspired by her late father, Robert Kardashian, who was also a lawyer. Despite finding some subjects, like hearsay exceptions, challenging, she remains committed to her studies and her reform work.
