Sara Ali Khan recently took to social media to express her admiration for Ananya Panday’s performance in the trailer for Call Me Bae. The highly anticipated series marks Ananya’s digital debut and has generated excitement among fans.

In Call Me Bae, Ananya plays a young heiress from South Delhi who relocates to Mumbai after her family loses their savings. She faces numerous challenges while living in a city apartment with a leaking roof and relying on auto-rickshaws. Her life begins to change when she secures a job at a newsroom run by Vir Das, who initially dismisses her due to his serious demeanor. The series highlights her journey of resilience and adaptability as she navigates these obstacles.
Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, Call Me Bae is executive produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. The eight-part series features a talented cast, including Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur. It is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 6.
In addition to her role in Call Me Bae, Ananya is also starring in Vikramaditya Motwane’s film CTRL, which will be available on Netflix starting October 4.
Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan is preparing for her upcoming film Metro…In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu. The film features a star-studded cast, including Aditya Roy Kapur, Konkona Sen Sharma, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, and Ali Fazal. It is scheduled for release in theaters on November 29, 2024.
