Travis Kelce is making his mark in Hollywood with his first major film role, and he has received praise from comedian Adam Sandler. Sandler described Kelce as “funny and cool” during an appearance on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon.
Sandler hinted that Kelce might make a surprise appearance in the upcoming Netflix sequel, “Happy Gilmore 2.” While discussing the film, he said, “We have a nice something for Travis. He’s gonna come by.
He’s a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a stud and he’s so funny.”
Sandler is committed to making “Happy Gilmore 2” just as memorable as the original. He promised a star-studded cast, including Kelce, and emphasized that the team worked hard on the script. He noted that fans have been asking for a sequel for a long time, and he wanted to ensure it met their expectations.
“We wrote our a**** off. We’re continuing to try to make it a movie that I think you’ll like,” Sandler said. He also acknowledged that he needed to refresh his iconic Happy Gilmore swing after all these years.
“I did it recently. It seems simple, so I tried it out. And I fell. And I laid there for a while, and then somebody brought me a lemonade, and I just kind of laid down on the ground, drinking a lemonade for a while.
But I’ll be ready. When it comes time to shoot, I’m a gamer, man,” he added with a laugh.
