Jessica Szohr has expressed her admiration for Nina Dobrev, calling her the best maid of honor (MOH) following Szohr’s recent wedding in Arizona. The actress shared her gratitude on Instagram, highlighting Dobrev’s exceptional contributions during the wedding festivities.
Szohr, who recently married former NHL player Brad Richardson, praised Dobrev for delivering a heartfelt speech at the reception. She shared photos from the event and thanked Dobrev for making the entire experience enjoyable. “The best MOH!” Szohr wrote, expressing her excitement to have Dobrev by her side.
In her tribute, Szohr described Dobrev as thoughtful and creative, noting her charm and humor. She appreciated Dobrev’s efforts in planning fun activities and gifts for the guests. Szohr emphasized their long-standing friendship, which has lasted nearly 16 years, and thanked Dobrev for her support throughout their relationship.
Despite facing personal challenges, including surgery and a busy schedule, Dobrev excelled in her role as maid of honor. Szohr acknowledged the energy and joy Dobrev brought to the wedding, particularly praising her “next-level” speech.
The wedding took place at Pine Canyon in Flagstaff, Arizona, surrounded by 150 close friends and family members. Szohr wore three stunning gowns by Galia Lahav, including the striking “Tokyo” gown. She also had a custom veil featuring a special quote from her grandfather: “Take Time to Smell the Roses.” Dobrev wore a custom sage green gown by the same designer.
Szohr and Richardson began dating publicly in 2019 and welcomed their daughter, Bowie Ella Richardson, on January 11, 2021. The couple announced their engagement in May 2022, sharing the news on Instagram with Szohr proudly displaying her diamond ring.
