Adele has revealed that she plans to take a long break from music after her Las Vegas residency concludes in November. The announcement comes as the singer prepares for her final performances in a highly anticipated series of shows.
During a recent concert in Munich, Adele informed her audience that she will be stepping away from the spotlight for an “incredibly long time” once her Las Vegas residency wraps up. In a heartfelt message captured on video, she stated, “I have 10 shows to do, but after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time, and I will hold you dear in my heart.” Fans responded with sadness, expressing that they would “miss her,” while also acknowledging that Adele is known for taking extended breaks between projects.
Adele’s upcoming residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace will feature the final 10 shows from October 25 to November 30. These dates were originally scheduled for March but were postponed due to Adele needing vocal rest.
The 16-time Grammy winner recently completed her Munich residency, which began on August 2 and marked her first performances in mainland Europe since 2016. During her time in Munich, Adele thanked her fans for their support over the past three years, saying, “It has been amazing, I just need a rest.”
In a previous interview with German outlet ZDF, Adele mentioned that she has no plans for new music at this time. Instead, she expressed a desire to explore other creative endeavors. “I don’t have any plans for new music at all,” she stated. “I want a big break after this, and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while.”
While Adele prepares for her hiatus, she also hinted at a significant development in her personal life. During a concert, she seemingly confirmed engagement rumors with sports executive Rich Paul, telling a fan that she cannot marry them because “I’m already getting married.” The couple has been linked since July 2021, when they were spotted together at an NBA Finals game.
As Adele prepares to step back from the music scene, fans are left reflecting on her incredible journey and the impact she has made in the industry. Her decision to take a break is a reminder of the importance of self-care and the need for artists to recharge and explore new creative avenues.
