Farhan Akhtar recently revealed the theme music that helped him focus while filming his acclaimed 2013 biopic, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. The actor shared his experience on Instagram, and Hrithik Roshan expressed his approval, saying, “Love it.”
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is considered one of Bollywood’s iconic biopics, and Akhtar received widespread praise for his portrayal of the legendary athlete Milkha Singh. On September 10, 2024, he posted a clip of the film’s final race scene, accompanied by the theme music “Promentory” by Trevor Jones.
In his post, Akhtar explained that creating a music playlist is part of his preparation for certain roles. He said, “This music helps me connect with the film’s theme and the character’s psychology.”
He described the theme music as starting dramatically with ominous tones, followed by a repeating fiddle motif that builds tension. Akhtar noted that this progression mirrors Milkha Singh’s life journey, culminating in a victorious release of emotion. He mentioned that this music played continuously in his headphones during filming and was a secret shared only with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
The idea to edit this music into the final race scene came to him while shooting his new film, 120 Bahadur, in Ladakh. He said, “I tried it out on a whim, and what happened was pure magic. The edit is untouched. Enjoy.”
In the comments, Hrithik Roshan praised the music, while Abhishek Bachchan added, “Never fails to hit the right spot.” Fans also shared their enthusiasm with heart and fire emojis, highlighting how motivating they found the music.
