Vin Diesel recently paid tribute to his late friend Paul Walker on what would have been Walker’s birthday, while also hinting at the upcoming Fast & Furious 11.
Diesel, who stars as Dominic Toretto in the franchise, took to Instagram on September 12 to share a heartfelt post in memory of Walker. He included a nostalgic photo of the two from the original Fast & Furious film, captioning it, “Looking back, a quarter century ago.”
In his tribute, Diesel reflected on the deep bond he shared with Walker, stating, “A brotherhood, timeless and bonded by love. For that, I am eternally grateful… but damn, I miss you Pablo.” He emphasized that their friendship, though not by blood, was strong and impactful in the film industry.
Alongside his tribute, Diesel teased fans with news about Fast & Furious 11. He mentioned that he had come across new concept art for the film, which he described as something that would require him to prepare himself. Although the post focused on Walker, it appears the concept art may relate to the late actor.
Details about Fast & Furious 11 remain scarce, but it is expected to continue the story from Fast X, which ended on a cliffhanger. The previous film left viewers with Dominic and his son facing a collapsing dam, while Tyrese Gibson’s character, Roman, and the rest of the team were also in peril. Additionally, the mid-credits scene revealed that Gal Gadot’s character, Gisele Yashar, is alive, and Dwayne Johnson will reprise his role as Luke Hobbs in the new installment.
If Fast & Furious 11 turns out to be the final entry in the franchise, it would be a fitting opportunity to honor Paul Walker, who was a significant part of the series for many years.
