Coldplay’s upcoming world tour has sparked a wave of excitement among fans, with speculation rising about a potential guest appearance by BTS’ Jin at their Seoul concert in April 2025.
Coldplay is set to embark on their Music of the Spheres World Tour, promoting their new album Landing, which is scheduled for release on October 4, 2024. As part of the tour, the band will perform in Seoul, South Korea—marking their first appearance in the city in eight years. Concert dates are slated for April 16, 18, 19, and 22, 2025, although the venue has yet to be announced.
The excitement surrounding these performances has intensified after Coldplay revealed that a special guest would join them on stage during their Seoul shows. While the name of the guest has not been disclosed, fans have widely speculated that BTS’ Jin might be the mystery performer.
This theory stems from Jin’s previous collaboration with Coldplay. In 2022, the BTS star made a surprise appearance at the band’s Buenos Aires concert, where he performed his debut solo single, The Astronaut. Co-written by Coldplay, the song was a major highlight of the event. Fans are now hopeful that Jin might reunite with Coldplay in Seoul, especially considering their past collaboration on My Universe in 2022.
Adding fuel to the rumors, Jin is currently preparing for the release of his debut solo album, which promises to explore a variety of musical genres. This upcoming project has heightened the anticipation around his return to the spotlight, particularly following his discharge from South Korea’s military in June 2024.
Jin first entered the music scene in 2013 as a member of BTS, alongside fellow members RM, J-Hope, Suga, V, Jungkook, and Jimin. His solo career officially began in 2022 with the release of The Astronaut, a track that showcased his growth as an individual artist.
Since his military discharge, Jin has already made his presence felt, appearing at BTS’ 11th-anniversary celebration, FESTA 2024, at Jamsil Arena. He is also set to make his return to television in the outdoor variety show The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island, marking his first TV appearance since completing his mandatory service.
As fans await more details about Coldplay’s Seoul concert, the possibility of a Jin-Cross-Coldplay reunion on stage has only added to the mounting anticipation for both the concert and Jin’s upcoming solo projects. Whether or not the BTS star will join Coldplay in April remains to be seen, but excitement is certainly building.
