Donna Kelce, mother of NFL star Travis Kelce, has opened up about her growing relationship with Taylor Swift’s family. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of her son’s new show, Grotesquerie, Donna expressed her appreciation for the Swift family, describing them as “wonderful people” who are “very down to earth.”
“It’s still really, really new, and I really appreciate it,” Donna said. She noted the similarities between their backgrounds, as both families hail from Midwestern states—Ohio and Pennsylvania. “It feels like home,” she added.
Taylor Swift has been a supportive partner to Travis, frequently attending his games since they began dating in July 2023. Recently, she visited him on set, which Donna fully supports. “I just think it’s important to support the people you really care about,” she remarked.
Travis’s father, Ed Kelce, also praised Taylor after meeting her for the first time. He noted that she displayed humility and kindness by picking up trash in their suite during a game. “She didn’t get the diva memo,” Ed said, highlighting her down-to-earth nature.
The Kelce family has embraced Taylor, who has attended numerous Chiefs games alongside them. During a recent game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Donna and Taylor’s mother, Andrea Swift, were seen cheering together and sharing a warm hug.
Taylor has publicly shared her feelings about supporting Travis during his games. In a TIME interview, she stated, “I’m just there to support Travis,” acknowledging that she is often in the spotlight but focused on being there for him.
As their families blend together, both Donna and Travis have expressed their excitement about the relationship. Donna described their connection as “kind of interesting,” noting that both Travis and Taylor are good-hearted individuals who support each other’s careers.
