Rosé, the talented vocalist of the K-pop group Blackpink, has announced that she has signed a global solo deal with Atlantic Records. This news comes shortly after her fellow bandmates Jennie and Lisa revealed their own solo contracts with Columbia Records and RCA Records, respectively.
In an Instagram post, the 27-year-old singer expressed her excitement about the new partnership, writing, “Hi my number ones, I am so so excited to announce to you my signing with @atlanticrecords !!!!!! I know you’ve all waited sooo so long for this moment, but i hope you’re READY for what’s in store for the next few months!! i CANNOTTT wait for you all to hear everything!! so hang on tight!!miss you all dearly.”
Rosé, who was born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, signed with YG Entertainment in 2012 after auditioning for the label. She trained with YG before becoming the final member of Blackpink in 2016.
As a solo artist, Rosé previously released her debut single album “R” in March 2021 through Interscope and YG Entertainment. The project included two songs, “On the Ground” and “Gone,” which featured contributions from Jon Bellion and Amy Allen. “On the Ground” gained significant traction in the United States, peaking at No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In addition to her music career, Rosé has been named a global ambassador for several prestigious brands, including Yves Saint Laurent, Puma, and Tiffany & Co.
The announcement of Rosé’s solo deal with Atlantic Records comes on the heels of similar news from her Blackpink bandmates. Jennie recently signed with Columbia Records, while Lisa revealed her partnership with RCA Records and her own label, Lloud Co., in April.
As fans eagerly await Rosé’s upcoming projects with Atlantic Records, the singer has encouraged them to follow her new Instagram account, @vampirehollie, for “quick updates and cute moments from the team.”
