Jennifer Aniston has recently clarified a long-standing debate about the color of a dress worn by her character, Rachel Green, on Friends.
The 55-year-old actress portrayed Rachel on the beloved sitcom, which aired from 1994 to 2004. To celebrate the show’s 30th anniversary, HBO’s streaming service Max released the series in 4K quality.
In a recent Instagram post, Max shared a side-by-side comparison of Rachel’s dress from Season 3, showing it in both HD and 4K. In the HD version, the dress appears as a soft green, while in the 4K version, it looks blue. This discrepancy led to confusion about its true color.
Aniston responded by sharing her thoughts on her Instagram story.
“For the record, the dress was mint green,” she stated, putting an end to the debate. Entertainment Weekly captured a screenshot of her post before it expired.
Fans are now hoping she might also weigh in on the infamous “we were on a break” argument from the series.
In related Friends news, HBO Max is launching a new game show competition series inspired by the show. Titled Fast Friends, it will feature trivia and challenges set in iconic locations from the series. A release date for this new show has yet to be announced.
Friends originally premiered on September 22, 1994, and quickly became a cultural phenomenon, attracting millions of viewers throughout its ten-season run. The show remains popular today, with fans celebrating its legacy and characters.
