Yes Studios’ comedy series Bloody Murray is set to be adapted for a Georgian audience, according to Variety. The streaming platform Cavea+ has acquired the rights to the show, which follows the lives of two roommates, Murray, an expert in romantic comedies, and Dana, a gynecologist. Their friendship is tested when they both fall for the same man.
This adaptation marks a significant milestone as it is the first scripted Israeli series to be adapted in Georgia. The series has also been picked up by CBC in Canada and Arte in France and Germany. Currently, a second season is in development.
Bloody Murray was created and written by Stav Idisis, with production handled by Yes Studios and Kastina Communications. Yes Studios retains global rights to the series’ format and tapes.
Sharon Levi, managing director at Yes Studios, expressed pride in the show’s groundbreaking status. “We are honored that Bloody Murray will be the first Israeli scripted series adapted in Georgia,” she stated.
“Cavea+ has shown great confidence in our wonderful show, and we believe its mix of humor, romance, and relatable characters will resonate with viewers.”
