Jihyo, the leader of K-pop girl group TWICE, has expressed her preference for being cheated on rather than being ghosted in a relationship. She shared her thoughts during a recent episode of Seibja, a YouTube series where she travels around Korea exploring guesthouses.
On October 8, 2024, while mingling with tourists at a guesthouse in Yeosu, Jihyo participated in a game called “Pick One or the Other.”
When asked whether she would rather break up due to cheating or being ghosted, she quickly chose cheating. Jihyo explained that if someone ghosts her, she wouldn’t even know if the relationship had ended. She emphasized the importance of closure, stating that knowing about the cheating would at least confirm that they are over.
Jihyo debuted as the leader and vocalist of TWICE on October 20, 2015, with their first extended play, The Story Begins. The group gained fame with their hit single “Cheer Up,” released in April 2016, which won several awards, including Best Performing Single of the Year at the Melon Music Awards. Jihyo made her solo debut with the EP ZONE and the viral track “Killin’ Me Good” on August 18, 2023. The EP debuted at number one on the Circle Album Chart and reached number 14 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S.
