Finding out which movies are hitting theaters can be challenging, especially after recent Hollywood strikes caused many release date changes. Now that the WGA and actors’ strikes are resolved, October is packed with both big-budget films and new indie releases.
New Releases This Week
On October 11, Sony Pictures will release Saturday Night, a film that explores the chaotic 90 minutes leading up to the premiere of Saturday Night Live. The movie stars Gabriel LaBelle, Rachel Sennott, Cory Michael Smith, and Ella Hunt.
Also debuting on Friday is Piece by Piece, a biopic featuring Pharrell Williams. This film tells his life story from childhood to hip-hop stardom using Lego animation. It includes appearances by Kendrick Lamar and Gwen Stefani.
In limited release this week are Terrifier 3, a horror film featuring the infamous Art the Clown, and We Live in Time, a romantic drama about a chance meeting between a recent divorcée and an aspiring chef.
Next week, keep an eye out for Anora and Smile 2, both set to release.
