The Grand Ole Opry, a cornerstone of country music, is set to mark its 100th anniversary in 2025 with exciting events, including a concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Since its inception, the Opry has showcased numerous iconic country artists, helping to elevate the genre to one of the most popular in the world. To honor this milestone, the Opry is launching the “Opry 100” celebration, highlighting the rich history and future of country music.
As part of the global festivities, details about the Royal Albert Hall concert are still emerging, with more information on the date and performers to come. The year 2025 will feature special events at the Nashville venue, starting with Bill Anderson, the longest-serving member in Opry history.
The Opry will also spotlight emerging talent, with 100 new artists set to perform on its famous stage. This initiative kicks off with Shaboozey, known for his hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”
To honor its musical legacy, the Opry will host a series called “Opry 100 Honors,” celebrating the contributions of legendary artists like Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Bill Monroe, Minnie Pearl, and Hank Williams, among others.
Fans will also get involved by voting for the 100 greatest country songs of all time. A portion of the concert ticket sales will benefit the Opry Trust Fund, which supports members of the country music community in need.
The Grand Ole Opry officially opened its doors for a concert on November 28, 1925, and the centennial celebration will take place on the same date in 2025.
“This centennial is not just a look back—it’s a celebration of the future of country music and the artists who continue to shape its story,” said Dan Rogers, Senior Vice President and Executive Producer of the Grand Ole Opry. “We can’t wait for everyone to join us for what will be an unforgettable year.”
