Actor Ruby Cruz has signed with the Gersh Agency for representation.
Cruz gained recognition for her role as Hazel, a shy outsider, in Emma Seligman’s comedy “Bottoms.” The film, which also features Rachel Sennott, Emmy winner Ayo Edebiri, Havana Rose Liu, Kaia Gerber, and Nicholas Galitzine, tells the story of two unpopular students who start a fight club to attract cheerleaders before graduation.
She also portrayed Jess in the crime drama miniseries “Mare of Easttown,” alongside stars like Kate Winslet, Jean Smart, Sosie Bacon, and Cailee Spaeny.
Cruz made headlines as Disney’s first openly LGBTQ+ princess, Kit Tanthalos, in the Disney+ series “Willow.” This fantasy series, produced by Imagine Entertainment and Lucas Television, serves as a sequel to the 1988 film starring Warwick Davis. It follows six heroes on a quest to save their world from evil forces known as the Gales.
Her other television credits include Hulu’s “Castle Rock,” where she played a young Lizzy Caplan, and an episode of CBS’s police drama “Blue Bloods.”
Looking ahead, Cruz will have a recurring role in the upcoming third season of Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble’s Max comedy “The Sex Lives of College Girls,” alongside Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, and Alyah Chanelle Scott. She is also set to star in Chad Hartigan’s romantic comedy “The Threesome,” featuring Zoey Deutch and Jonah Hauer King from “The Little Mermaid.” Josh Segarra and Jaboukie Young-White will also appear in the film.
In addition to Gersh, Cruz is represented by Landsburg Management.
