Enjoy the Ride Records, a New York-based label, will drop these expanded vinyl editions on Friday, October 18. The scores, composed by Harold Faltermeyer for “Top Gun” and Hans Zimmer for “Days of Thunder,” will be available as double 140-gram LPs. Previously, in 2023, both soundtracks were issued in a limited-edition CD format. The new vinyl releases will include the complete original cues from each film, along with demos and alternate takes.
Originally, only one cue from Faltermeyer’s score for “Top Gun” was featured on the 1986 soundtrack. An expanded edition released in 1999 added a second cue, the instrumental track “Memories.”
