Mika Abdalla has been cast in a recurring role for Max’s upcoming medical drama, “The Pitt.” While specifics about her character are not yet disclosed, her storyline will unfold over the show’s entire 15-episode season.
Abdalla joins a talented ensemble that includes Noah Wyle, Tracy Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez, and Katherine LaNasa. Recent additions to the cast also include Shawn Hatosy, Michael Hyatt, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Brandon Mendez Homer, Kristin Villanueva, Amielynn Abellera, Alexandra Metz, Krystel V. McNeil, and Deepti Gupta.
According to the official logline, “The Pitt” offers a realistic portrayal of the challenges faced by healthcare workers in contemporary America.
The series is seen through the eyes of frontline heroes working in a modern hospital in Pittsburgh. Production for “The Pitt” commenced in August, with the first episode scheduled for release in 2025.
On the film front, Abdalla recently appeared in Adam Rehmeier’s coming-of-age comedy “Snack Shack” and the Hulu original film “Sex Appeal.” Her television credits include roles in “The Flash,” “S.W.A.T,” and “Project MC2.”
R. Scott Gemmill serves as the series creator and showrunner. He wrote the pilot and is an executive producer alongside Wyle, John Wells, Erin Jontow, Simran Baidwan, and Michael Hissrich. “The Pitt” is produced by John Wells Productions in collaboration with Warner Bros.
Gemmill has an extensive background in television production. He was an executive producer for all 14 seasons of “NCIS: Los Angeles” and worked on John Wells’ NBC medical drama “ER” from 1999 to 2008.
