Brad Pitt made a splash at the 2024 Mexico City Grand Prix over the weekend, filming new scenes for his upcoming Formula 1 movie.
The 60-year-old actor was spotted on Saturday, October 26, donning a full race suit as he exited his car on the track. He appeared to celebrate with gestures that indicated podium finishes and qualifying placements.
In several photos, Pitt can be seen holding up two and three fingers, waving the Mexican flag, and blowing kisses to fans at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
The following day, he was seen in the stands during the race, capturing moments on his phone.
This marked the first time Pitt has been seen filming since the Belgium Grand Prix in July. That month, the first teaser trailer was released, revealing that Simone Ashley has joined the cast.
In the film, Pitt plays Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 driver who returns to the sport to mentor rookie Joshua Pearce, portrayed by Damson Idris, on a fictional 11th team called APXGP.
Fans have been excited to see how the film incorporates actual Formula 1 race weekends into its production.
