Kelsey Grammer’s character, Frasier Crane, makes a nostalgic return to Seattle in the latest episode of Frasier, which airs tonight at midnight on Paramount+. This episode offers a glimpse into Frasier’s past as he revisits familiar places, including Café Nervosa, the coffee shop where he and his brother Niles often gathered. The episode also features a reunion at KACL, the radio station where Frasier once worked.
Executive producers Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli expressed their excitement about revisiting these iconic sets. They noted the challenges they faced in sourcing 90s-era radio equipment for the production.
The episode, titled “Thank You, Dr. Crane,” was directed by Grammer and written by Stephen Lloyd. The plot centers around Roz and Frasier returning to Seattle for an anniversary piece at KACL that Roz is producing. During their visit, they encounter a listener who had previously received advice from Frasier and has since left his job to pursue a career in magic.
This eighth episode of Season 2 features familiar faces, including Dan Butler as Bulldog and Edward Hibbert as Gil Chesterton. Peri Gilpin reprises her role as Roz, Frasier’s former radio producer, a character she portrayed in the original series from 1993 to 2004.
Frasier is filmed in front of a live studio audience at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Grammer’s Grammnet NH Productions. Alongside Harris and Cristalli, executive producers include Tom Russo and Jordan McMahon. James Burrows returns to direct two episodes this season.
New episodes of Frasier are released every Thursday on Paramount+.
