Legendary musicians Sting and Jennifer Hudson are set to appear as mega mentors on Season 26 of The Voice, marking the first time the show will feature two mega mentors in a single season.
Sting will collaborate with coaches Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani, while Hudson will assist Michael Bublé and Reba McEntire. This will be Hudson’s return to The Voice after previously serving as a coach on Seasons 13 and 15.
The announcement comes as the competition heads into the three-way Knockout rounds, which begin on November 11. During the Knockouts, contestants will face off against two teammates but will select their own songs to perform. Their competitors will watch from the sidelines as they each showcase their individual talents.
Hudson, an EGOT winner, is widely regarded as one of the most celebrated vocalists of her generation. She recently released a holiday album, The Gift of Love, on October 18. In addition, Hudson launched the third season of her nationally syndicated talk show, The Jennifer Hudson Show, in September.
Sting, known for his work with The Police and his successful solo career, has sold over 100 million albums. He has garnered 17 Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, and numerous other accolades, including an Emmy, a Golden Globe, and four Oscar nominations. A member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame, Sting has also received prestigious honors like the Kennedy Center Honors and the Polar Music Prize.
The Voice is produced by MGM Television, Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, and ITV Studios. The show was created by John de Mol, who serves as an executive producer alongside Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson, Adam H. Sher, and Barry Poznick.
