Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has surprised fans by collaborating with rapper T-Pain on an acoustic version of Lil Jon’s hit song “Get Low.” The duo, calling themselves Z-Pain, released the track as a tribute to Zuckerberg’s wife, Priscilla Chan, to celebrate their anniversary.
In an Instagram post, Zuckerberg shared that “Get Low” played when he first met Priscilla at a college party. He noted that they listen to the song every year on their dating anniversary. This year, he decided to create a special version with T-Pain. In his post, he wrote, “This year I worked with @tpain on our own version of this lyrical masterpiece.
Sound on for the track and also available on Spotify. Love you, P.”
T-Pain also promoted the collaboration on his Instagram, stating, “Z-Pain has arrived Get Low by @zuck and me out now.”
The two artists teased their collaboration earlier this week by sharing a photo from the studio on Instagram Stories. Their friendship began in 2021 when Zuckerberg appeared in T-Pain’s livestreams. In July, T-Pain gifted Zuckerberg a custom Nappy Boy Meta chain, further solidifying their bond.
Zuckerberg’s rendition of “Get Low” transforms the original crunk classic into a tender acoustic ballad. The lyrics include lines like, “To the windows, to the walls,” delivered in a softer tone reminiscent of a romantic comedy soundtrack.
In a video posted by Zuckerberg, Priscilla reacts to the song, expressing surprise and calling it “so romantic.” She humorously noted that while she can’t get as low as she used to after 21 years of marriage, the song brings back fond memories.
This musical venture is part of Zuckerberg’s efforts to refresh his public image. Recently, he has made changes to his hairstyle and wardrobe while engaging in various cultural activities. The release of this track adds a new dimension to his persona as he seeks to connect with audiences in unexpected ways.
