Kim Kardashian and her sister Kourtney have put their past feud behind them to collaborate on a new collection with Dolce & Gabbana for Kim’s brand, SKIMS. This partnership, which merges the styles of both brands, will launch on November 19.
The collaboration was announced on November 14 and aims to blend the classic Italian aesthetic of Dolce & Gabbana with the comfort and innovative designs that SKIMS is known for. Kim expressed her excitement about the project, stating, “It’s been an honor to collaborate with my friends Domenico and Stefano on this special collection for Dolce&Gabbana and SKIMS.” She highlighted that the collection features reimagined classic silhouettes and prints, showcasing a unique combination of both brands.
Promotional photos for the collection feature the sisters in stylish leopard-print outfits, captured in picturesque Italian settings by artists Nadia Lee Cohen and Donna Trope. In one image, they are seen walking together in matching catsuits, while another shows Kim in a leopard-print bralette leaning out of a window. The campaign also includes playful videos of the sisters enjoying their time in Italy.
This collaboration comes after a public fallout between Kim and Kourtney over their respective relationships with Dolce & Gabbana. The tension peaked during Kourtney’s wedding to Travis Barker in May 2022, where she wore a Dolce & Gabbana minidress. Kim later partnered with the brand for a fashion show, which Kourtney felt undermined her wedding theme. In a June 2023 episode of The Kardashians, Kim acknowledged Kourtney’s feelings but emphasized her desire to respect her sister’s journey.
The upcoming SKIMS x Dolce & Gabbana collection will include lingerie, sleepwear, and shapewear designed for everyday wear. It will be available in sizes ranging from XXS to 4X and bra sizes from 30A to 38DD. The designers of Dolce & Gabbana expressed their long-standing affection for the Kardashian family, noting that their friendship inspired this collaboration focused on inclusivity and body positivity.
