“Star Wars: Visions,” an animated anthology series from Lucasfilm, is set to return for a third season in 2025. The announcement was made by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige during the annual Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific Showcase in Singapore.
The new season, titled “Star Wars: Visions Volume 3,” will premiere on Disney+ and will feature both new and returning anime studios. This season will return to its Japanese roots, celebrating the rich world of anime while exploring the mythology of Star Wars.
The event showcased various previews, including music from upcoming films like “Mufasa: The Lion King,” “Snow White,” and “Moana 2.” It also offered first looks at several projects, including Disney’s “TRON: Ares,” “Zootopia 2” from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar’s “Hoppers,” and new seasons of Lucasfilm’s “The Mandalorian” and Marvel’s “Daredevil: Born Again.”
Luke Kang, president of The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific, highlighted the company’s commitment to quality storytelling, stating, “We are entertaining and engaging consumers in multiple ways… driven by the unmatched strength of our global and local creative studios.”
The showcase also featured appearances from stars of Disney’s Asian original shows, including Park Eunbin and Sul Kyunggu from “Hyper Knife,” as well as Kim Soohyun and Cho Boah from “Knock-Off.”
With its return to anime roots, Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 promises to deliver innovative stories that reflect diverse cultural perspectives within the beloved Star Wars universe.
