Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie is set to star in a new film titled Stitches, directed by Alice Winocour. The movie is set in the glamorous world of high fashion during Paris Fashion Week.
While specific plot details remain under wraps, early reports suggest that the story revolves around three women whose lives intersect during this prestigious event. Jolie is expected to portray a filmmaker, adding depth to the narrative. Filming is scheduled to begin in early 2025 and will be shot in both French and English, similar to Winocour’s previous work, Proxima.
Produced by Charles Gillibert’s CG Cinema, Stitches marks Winocour’s first English-language feature. The film reunites her with Pathé Films, which previously distributed her acclaimed film Paris Memories, showcased at the Cannes Film Festival.
Jolie is currently generating buzz for her role as Maria Callas in the upcoming Netflix film Maria, which has received positive reviews and is anticipated to earn her another Oscar nomination. Additionally, she recently directed Without Blood, featuring Salma Hayek and Demián Bichir, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
With Stitches, Jolie continues her return to acting after a period of focusing on family and smaller projects. Fans are eager to see how this new role unfolds in the vibrant backdrop of Parisian fashion.
