Alice Winocour’s film Stitches, featuring Angelina Jolie, has officially begun filming in Paris. Jolie takes on the role of a filmmaker in this drama, which revolves around three women whose lives intersect during Paris Fashion Week.
This project marks Winocour’s first venture into English-language directing. Set against the backdrop of high fashion, Stitches will showcase the glamorous yet competitive nature of the industry. In addition to Jolie, the cast includes Anyier Anei, Garance Marillier, and Finnegan Oldfield.
The film is produced by Charles Gillibert of CG Cinéma, along with Zhang Xin and William Horberg from Closer Media. Bob Xu serves as an executive producer. Pathé Films, which previously collaborated with Winocour on Revoir Paris, will handle distribution in France.
Stitches is co-produced with Chanel and France 3 Cinéma. Additional financial support comes from La Région Île-de-France, Canal+, Ciné+, OCS, and France Télévisions.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release in 2025.
