On Sunday, January 19, Matty Healy responded to rumors about a song on The 1975’s upcoming album, reportedly inspired by his brief relationship with Taylor Swift. The British singer sparked further speculation when he commented “Huge if true” on Reddit, after a fan shared an article discussing the song.
The rumor originated from a report by The Sun, which claimed the track was titled God Has Entered My Body and featured the lyrics, “Keep your heads up, princess, your tiara is falling.” An insider suggested the song reflected Healy’s fleeting romance with Swift, adding that while he never discusses his relationships publicly, his songs serve as a way to express his emotions.
Despite the speculation, Healy’s response on Reddit only fueled confusion. Many fans wondered whether he was confirming the rumors or simply joking around. One user commented, “Matty the type of guy to read this, knowing it’s not true, and decide it’s a good idea to add it now,” while another referenced a 2021 Instagram post where Healy had used the same phrase, “Keep your head up, princess, your tiara is falling.”
Healy and Swift were first linked romantically in 2014 and briefly rekindled their relationship in 2023 after Swift’s split from Joe Alwyn. However, their romance quickly ended after just a month. Fans speculated that the short-lived fling inspired several tracks on Swift’s upcoming album The Tortured Poets Department, with Healy even suggesting that one of the songs, Guilty as Sin?, might be about him.
While Healy may address his past with Swift on The 1975’s next album, his personal life has moved on, as he is now engaged to model Gabriella Bechtel. Swift, meanwhile, is currently in a relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
