Actor Reda Elazouar, recognized for his role as Beau in Sex Education season 4, will star alongside Mark Wahlberg in the sequel to The Family Plan.
The film’s ensemble cast also features Michelle Monaghan, Kit Harington, Zoe Colletti, and Van Crosby. Directed by Simon Cellan Jones, The Family Plan sequel will be produced by Wahlberg, who also stars in the lead role. Elazouar’s character has not been revealed.
The first film, which debuted on Apple TV+ last year, received mixed reviews from critics but was well-received by audiences. Written by David Coggeshall, the sequel follows the Morgan family on a European Christmas vacation that turns chaotic when Wahlberg’s character’s past resurfaces.
Skydance Media will produce the sequel, with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger overseeing the project, along with Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson. John G. Scotti will serve as an executive producer, alongside director Simon Cellan Jones.
Elazouar first garnered attention for his role in Pirates, a film directed by Reggie Yates, which was nominated for a British Independent Film Award. He is also set to appear in the upcoming PBS series Maigret, scheduled for release in 2025.
