Peter Sutherland is back on the hunt, this time chasing down a CIA mole plotting to detonate a bomb in Manhattan.
Netflix released the highly anticipated trailer for The Night Agent Season 2 on Christmas morning, just in time for the streamer’s debut NFL livestreams.
Gabriel Basso reprises his role as FBI agent Peter Sutherland in the new season, which premieres on January 23. After his heroic rescue of the president in Season 1, Peter is promoted within the covert government organization Night Action, now taking on the title of Night Agent. In the trailer, Peter is thrust into a dangerous mission to uncover a mole within the CIA who is leaking classified information. After being betrayed during a mission, Peter goes rogue, fearing that Night Action itself could be compromised.
As his investigation deepens, Peter learns that the mole is not only selling secrets to the highest bidder but is also gathering resources to orchestrate a catastrophic bombing in Manhattan.
The new season’s cast also includes Luciane Buchanan, Amanda Warren, Arienne Mandi, Louis Herthum, Berto Colon, Michael Malarkey, Keon Alexander, Brittany Snow, Teddy Sears, Navid Negahban, and Rob Heaps.
The Night Agent was developed by Shawn Ryan, who serves as showrunner and executive producer under his MiddKid Productions banner. Marney Hochman, also of MiddKid, joins Ryan as an executive producer, along with Seth Gordon and Julia Gunn from Exhibit A, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, and Nicole Tossou from Project X, David Beaubaire from Sunset Lane Media, Paul Bernard, Munis Rashid, and Guy Ferland. Sony Pictures Television produces the series.
The thrilling new season promises more intense action and suspense as Peter races against time to stop a deadly conspiracy.
