NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Starting in the new year, the Song Share Sessions at Drawing Board Brewing will become more inclusive, offering a space specifically for women, transgender, and non-binary musicians.
The free sessions will begin on January 9, running from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and will continue on the second Thursday of each month. These events provide singer-songwriters an opportunity to showcase their work and receive constructive feedback from the community. Audience members are encouraged to participate, fostering conversations about music and talent-sharing.
The sessions are hosted by Jess Martin, a non-binary singer-songwriter, who is committed to creating an inclusive environment for performers of all gender identities.
“These sessions aim to amplify voices that have been underrepresented in creative spaces,” said Martin. “In today’s world, such spaces are crucial. Western Massachusetts has a thriving arts community, and it’s important that we keep creating opportunities for everyone to share their stories and music. These nights are not just about music—they’re about building connections and a stronger, more inclusive community.”
During the event, Drawing Board Brewing will offer a selection of craft beers and non-alcoholic beverages.
