The second season of Netflix’s spy thriller The Recruit is set to take audiences on an exciting journey to South Korea.
In the newly released trailer, set to the energetic beats of Green Day’s American Idiot, Noah Centineo’s character, CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks, embarks on a high-stakes mission in Seoul. He’s joined by actor Teo Yoo, known for his role in Past Lives. The official synopsis reveals that Hendricks will find himself drawn into a dangerous espionage plot, only to discover that the most significant threat may come from within the Agency itself.
Alongside Centineo and Yoo, the second season of the six-episode series brings back a strong ensemble cast, including Aarti Mann, Colton Dunn, Fivel Stewart, Kristian Bruun, Kaylah Zander, Maddie Hasson, Angel Parker, and Vondie Curtis-Hall. New faces joining the cast this season include Young-Ah Kim, Felix Solis, James Purefoy, Do Hyun Shin, Sanghee Lee, Omar Maskati, Brooke Smith, Devika Bhise, Alana Hawley Purvis, Daniel Quincy Annoh, Jesse Collin, and Nathan Fillion.
Season 1 of The Recruit debuted in December 2022, and the upcoming season has already earned a spot on Variety’s list of most anticipated shows for 2025. Created by Alexi Hawley, also the showrunner and executive producer, The Recruit boasts a talented team behind the scenes. Centineo serves as an executive producer alongside Doug Liman, Gene Klein, David Bartis, Adam Ciralsky, Charlie Ebersol, and Julian Holmes. Directors for Season 2 include Hawley, Holmes, Jessica Yu, Viet Nguyen, and John Hyams, with writers including Hawley, Maya Goldsmith, George Ghanem, Brian Oh, Sue Chung, and Hadi Deeb. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television.
