MoonKing, a talented local musician with a growing fan base in the Mid-Ohio Valley, is set to take the stage in Artsbridge’s Summer Music Series from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday. The performance will be held at the bandshell in City Park.
MoonKing, also known as a “West Virginia engineering dean’s scholar by day and a mountain bluesman by night,” has garnered attention for his captivating musical style and unique blend of influences.
During the concert, MoonKing will be accompanied by several accomplished area musicians, including Clay Paschal on upright bass, Scott Kitchen on drums, and Rich Wilson on the harmonica. Their combined talents promise to deliver an evening of soulful and engaging music.
The show is made possible with the support of First Mutual Bank and the City of Parkersburg, reflecting the community’s commitment to promoting local artistic talents.
In the event of rain, the performance will be moved to the horseshoe pit to ensure the music continues regardless of the weather.
For those interested in attending, printed show schedules are available at the Artsbridge tent. The concert will also feature food vendors, offering delightful treats for the audience. Donations will be accepted during the event to support the continuation of the Summer Music Series, making it possible for the community to enjoy more captivating performances in the future.
