Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation has donated $500,000 to aid wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles. The funds will be allocated to two key organizations: the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund and the Pasadena Community Foundation’s Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund.
Since the wildfires began on January 7, they have caused significant damage across Los Angeles. Although containment efforts have made progress, officials caution that residents should remain alert as Santa Ana winds are expected to return.
The California Community Foundation (CCF) collaborates with local organizations and government agencies to target underserved areas. The foundation uses data from CalFire and the CDC’s Social Vulnerability Index to prioritize aid. In addition to providing immediate financial assistance, the foundation helps rebuild essential infrastructure, such as emergency communication systems, and offers services to low-wage workers and immigrant families, including labor law education and disaster support.
The Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF) established the Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund to address both immediate needs and long-term recovery efforts. The fund will support the community’s rebuilding process once the fires are fully extinguished.
