HBO has officially renewed The White Lotus for a fourth season, with production expected to begin in 2026.
Details on the location and cast for the new season remain unclear. However, creator and showrunner Mike White has already shared potential ideas for the upcoming season with Casey Bloys, HBO and Max’s chief content officer, as revealed in November.
This early renewal comes just weeks before the premiere of Season 3 on February 16. The new season will take the Emmy-winning series to Thailand, with Natasha Rothwell, who portrayed Belinda Lindsey in the Hawaii-set first season, returning as the only cast member from previous seasons. Jennifer Coolidge, who reprised her role as Tanya McQuoid in Season 2, will not appear in the third season.
Each season of The White Lotus follows a group of privileged vacationers whose personal conflicts unfold at the idyllic resort. Their actions intersect with the hotel staff’s lives, and both seasons have been marked by a mysterious death. The third season’s cast includes Parker Posey, Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Leslie Bibb, and several others, with Blackpink’s Lisa also joining the ensemble.
The show has won 15 Emmys across its first two seasons, including Outstanding Limited Series for Season 1. After Coolidge’s return in Season 2, the show transitioned into the drama category for its nominations.
The White Lotus is executive produced by Mike White, David Bernad, and Mark Kamine.
