Amy Poehler is set to debut a new podcast titled Good Hang with Amy Poehler on Spotify, in partnership with Bill Simmons’ media company, The Ringer. The show will launch in March and promises to bring a lighthearted, humorous conversation to listeners every week.
According to the official description, the podcast will feature Poehler chatting with famous guests about what makes them laugh, recent comedy they’ve enjoyed, and much more. She’ll also engage with her personal circle to discuss what brings her joy and seek audience questions for her guests.
“I am so excited Spotify and Bill are welcoming me,” Poehler said in a statement. “I can’t wait to have some good, dumb fun.”
Good Hang will be produced by The Ringer and Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions. Both Poehler and Simmons will serve as executive producers, alongside Jenna Weiss-Berman, who leads Paper Kite Audio.
Simmons expressed his enthusiasm for the project, praising Poehler’s comedic abilities and natural charm. “Amy should have one of the biggest podcasts in the world,” he said. “She’s funny, curious, and loves the genre. She truly understands what works and what doesn’t. We’re thrilled to work with her.”
Poehler is a well-known figure in comedy, recognized for her iconic role on Saturday Night Live and for starring in the beloved series Parks and Recreation. Through Paper Kite Productions, she has also hosted the popular scripted comedy podcast Say More with Dr. Sheila, a three-season series with Audacy.
