The “Saturday Night Live” anniversary special has unveiled another exciting list of guest stars set to appear.
Alec Baldwin, Ana Gasteyer, Billy Crystal, Cher, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Leslie Jones, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mike Myers, Miles Teller, Rachel Dratch, and Reverend Al Sharpton are among the new additions, with even more surprise guests expected to join during the live broadcast.
Baldwin, who holds the record for most “SNL” hosting appearances, is a natural choice, having also made numerous appearances as Donald Trump and other characters. Miranda, Teller, and Sharpton have previously hosted the show, while Cher has appeared as a musical guest. Many of the others are former cast members, including Gasteyer, Crystal, Louis-Dreyfus, Jones, Myers, and Dratch. Jones left the show in 2019.
They join a previously announced group of guests that includes Adam Driver, Ayo Edebiri, Bad Bunny, Dave Chappelle, John Mulaney, Kim Kardashian, Martin Short, Miley Cyrus, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Pedro Pascal, Peyton Manning, Quinta Brunson, Robert De Niro, Sabrina Carpenter, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, and Woody Harrelson. The show will also feature alumni like Adam Sandler, Chevy Chase, Eddie Murphy, Kristen Wiig, and Will Ferrell.
While the exact roles of these comedy legends remain unclear, they will be joined by a host of former cast members, including Amy Poehler, Andy Samberg, Chris Rock, Fred Armisen, Garrett Morris, Jane Curtin, Jason Sudeikis, Jimmy Fallon, Kate McKinnon, Kenan Thompson, Laraine Newman, Maya Rudolph, Molly Shannon, Pete Davidson, Seth Meyers, Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, and Will Forte.
The special will air on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC, with a simulcast on Peacock. It marks the culmination of several months of celebrations for the 50th season of “SNL,” which have included the docuseries SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night, the documentary Ladies & Gentlemen … 50 Years of SNL Music, as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas specials, and a re-airing of the very first “SNL” episode.
The anniversary special is produced by Lorne Michaels through his Broadway Video banner.
