The new drama series “Paradise,” created by Dan Fogelman, known for “This Is Us,” has been renewed for a second season on Hulu. The announcement comes just weeks before the season one finale, which is set to air on March 4.
Production for Season 2 will begin this spring. The show is produced by Disney’s 20th Television and follows Secret Service agent Xavier Collins, played by Sterling K. Brown. After the murder of President Cal Bradford, portrayed by James Marsden, Collins must uncover the truth behind the assassination in a community that has taken refuge in a bunker following an apocalyptic event.
Currently, there are two episodes remaining in the first season, which consists of eight episodes. Following the finale on Hulu, the entire first season will be available on ABC starting April 7 at 10 p.m. ET. The series initially premiered on ABC on January 29 and launched its first three episodes on Hulu on January 28.
“Paradise” gained significant viewership, attracting around 7 million viewers in its first week across Hulu and Disney+. The show has consistently ranked among Hulu’s top series since its debut.
In addition to Brown and Marsden, the cast includes Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Aliyah Mastin, and Percy Daggs IV. The series is executive produced by Fogelman along with Brown and other key producers.
Fogelman has indicated that he envisions a three-season arc for “Paradise,” promising plenty of twists and character developments as the story unfolds. Fans can expect more surprises as Collins continues his investigation into the murder and the mysteries surrounding the community of Paradise.
