Momentum continues to build for “Gadar 2,” the sequel to the iconic 2001 film “Gadar- Ek Prem Katha,” starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. The movie’s triumphant streak at the box office persists as it surpasses the Rs 100 crore milestone, only three days after its debut.
According to a recent report by Hindustan Times, the directorial creation of Anil Sharma, “Gadar 2,” garnered a robust Rs 52 crore on Sunday, propelling its total collections to an impressive Rs 135.18 crore. Notably, the film had amassed Rs 40.1 crore and Rs 43.08 crore on its initial two days of release.
In this installment, Deol and Patel adeptly reprise their iconic roles of Tara Singh and Sakeena. “Gadar 2” intricately weaves a narrative around Tara Singh’s compelling journey to Pakistan, where he undertakes a heroic mission to rescue his son from the clutches of the military.
The movie’s reception amongst the public has been overwhelmingly positive across the entire expanse of India. In a heartwarming display of enthusiasm, hundreds of individuals from Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district flocked to a local movie theater aboard their tractors to partake in the cinematic experience.
