Kendrick Lamar has been named the new brand ambassador for Chanel, as confirmed by the fashion house on Monday through Business of Fashion. The Grammy and Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper is featured in Chanel’s latest eyewear campaign, set to launch on April 22.
“I visited the Chanel ateliers and saw how designs come to life. The process and the people behind it resonated with me,” Lamar said in a statement. “Chanel’s timeless legacy is something I can always support. Since they don’t make clothes for men, I knew it would have to be glasses.”
The announcement of Lamar’s partnership with Chanel comes as he embarks on his joint “Grand National Tour” with SZA. The tour, spanning from April to June 2025, will perform at 19 stadiums across North America.
