Kelly Rowland is offering accolades for Blue Ivy’s strong work ethic as the 11-year-old impressively showcases her talents alongside Beyoncé during the Renaissance World Tour.
During a recent interview with E! News, Rowland attributed the discipline instilled in their young daughter to fellow Destiny’s Child member Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
“I’m genuinely proud,” Rowland shared. “She puts in an incredible amount of effort, without a doubt. But then again, how could she not? She witnesses her mother and father in action, observing their unwavering commitment to every endeavor.”
In May, Blue made her debut on the Renaissance World Tour, gracing the stage with her mother and a troupe of dancers during Beyoncé’s rendition of “My Power” from The Lion King: The Gift.
Blue’s grandmother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, Beyoncé’s mother, took to Instagram afterward to express her profound pride in her granddaughter’s accomplishments.
“I am genuinely astounded by the bravery displayed by this courageous, talented, and beautiful 11-year-old last night!” Lawson wrote. “There were nearly 70,000 people in that audience. She danced alongside professional dancers and adults, flawlessly executing intricate choreography and moves they had practiced for months! She learned and rehearsed this within a little over a week. Her performance was incredibly seamless!”
