The late Jimmy Buffett, renowned for his iconic song “Margaritaville,” is being lovingly remembered by colleagues from his appearances on two CBS television series, “Hawaii Five-0” and “Blue Bloods.”
Buffett, whose passing occurred on the night of September 1st, was surrounded by his family, friends, music, and dogs at the time of his peaceful departure. Although an official cause of death was not disclosed, TMZ has reported that it was related to skin cancer or lymphoma.
Jimmy Buffett made guest appearances on both “Hawaii Five-0” during its reboot and “Blue Bloods.” In a Season 12 episode of “Blue Bloods,” he portrayed a con man who cunningly enjoyed complimentary drinks and meals by impersonating the famous singer. In the same episode, Buffett also appeared as himself.
Donnie Wahlberg, who shared a scene with Buffett on “Blue Bloods,” paid tribute to the late musician on Instagram. Wahlberg reflected, “There is a popular audio used for IG reels — ‘when you think you’re the coolest guy in the parking lot, and then this guy shows up.’ Jimmy Buffett was that guy! The coolest and one of the absolute nicest guys I ever knew.”
Expressing his anticipation of working with Buffett again, Wahlberg added, “I was so looking forward to seeing you, and working with you, again Jimmy. Now, I’ll look forward to catching a most heavenly sunset with you someday instead. My eternal respect and gratitude to you, my friend.”
The passing of Jimmy Buffett has left a void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of working alongside him, and his legacy as a celebrated musician and entertainer lives on in the memories of fans and colleagues alike.
