Holly Willoughby, co-host of “This Morning,” was surprised by a change in the show upon her return from summer break. The 42-year-old presenter, alongside Alison Hammond, returned to host ITV’s popular daytime program.
At the beginning of the show, Alison Hammond revealed that a change had been made, replacing the long-running “Spin To Win” game with the previous “Balls” segment. Hammond humorously explained the change, saying, “I’ve got something to tell you. I hope you’re alright with this. There’s gonna be no balls today.”
In response to this unexpected update, Holly jokingly asked, “What happened to my balls over the summer?” Hammond playfully responded, “They were so dry. Your balls were so dry we got rid of them, sorry darling.”
Hammond clarified that the new game, called “Spin To Win,” would involve spinning a wheel and gave viewers the opportunity to win various prizes by answering their phones with a passphrase.
Previously, viewers had the choice to spin either the wheel or a tombola to win prizes. However, Hammond confirmed that the tombola had been removed as she playfully kicked it away before starting the game on Monday’s episode.
Holly expressed her surprise at the change, commenting, “This is really sad. What just happened?”
