Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have broken their silence following Barker’s departure from Blink-182’s tour last Friday due to an unexpected family emergency.
The reality TV star, known for her appearances on “The Kardashians,” shared her heartfelt appreciation, stating, “I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life.” She was referring to her and Barker’s first child together, emphasizing her immense gratitude towards her husband who rushed back from his tour to be by her side during her hospitalization. She also expressed her deep appreciation for her mother, who provided support during the challenging time.
Kardashian revealed the unexpected turn of events, saying, “As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant. Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing.”
Travis Barker, Blink-182’s drummer, shared his gratitude in a concise message, saying, “God is great.” He revealed that he had flown home urgently for a life-threatening surgery for their baby, which fortunately went well. He expressed his thanks for the outpouring of support and mentioned that the tour would resume on Friday.
The couple announced their pregnancy in June during a Blink-182 concert, surprising fans with the news. Kardashian had previously mentioned on her family’s reality show that they had attempted in vitro fertilization. The baby is expected to arrive later this year.
Kardashian already has three children with her ex-partner Scott Disick: Mason (13), Penelope (11), and Reign (8). Travis Barker is a father to Landon (19) and Alabama (17), from his previous marriage to Shanna Moakler, and a stepfather to Moakler’s adult daughter, Atiana De La Hoya.
