Kamohelo “Kamo WW” Pule, known for his roles as a social media influencer, dancer, and reality TV star, has now embraced a new title as a performing artist.
Following his debut single, “Abafana,” in June, the Birth of Stars cast member recently collaborated with Chley to release the single “Chommie.”
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Kamo shared the inspiration behind his foray into music, stating, “What inspired my venture into music is the love I have for entertaining people. It’s always been in me. I wanted to do it with my own music. The art of music is so beautiful that I’m able to tell a story in a different way.”
Over the past two years, Kamo has dedicated himself to the craft of music. He has been practicing songwriting, attending studio sessions, refining his skills, and discovering his unique sound, which he describes as fun, liberating, and vibrant.
While Kamo aspires to make a mark in the amapiano music scene, he also has plans to explore various music genres, including working on a gqom song.
“I wanted to establish my presence from a young age so that as I grow, I can become an icon. I’m a highly entertaining artist. It’s a spiritual experience for me. I create music to make people dance and have a good time.”
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Kamo emphasizes the significance of living authentically and hopes to inspire younger generations with his journey.
“I want to be remembered as a fearless individual who transcended societal boundaries and norms that attempt to confine us in boxes. I want to be the person who inspired another gay individual to lead their life fearlessly, despite the challenges. It can be daunting, but I aim to pave the way for the next generation to surpass my achievements and be recognized for their contributions in this space.”
