Hulu has offered a sneak peek into the much-anticipated series “Death and Other Details” by releasing its trailer ahead of the premiere on Jan. 16, featuring the initial two episodes.
The ten-part murder mystery boasts a star-studded ensemble including Violett Beane, Mandy Patinkin, Lauren Patten, Rahul Kohli, Angela Zhou, Hugo Diego Garcia, Pardis Saremi, and Linda Emond.
According to the series’ synopsis, “Death and Other Details” unfolds amidst the opulence of the global elite, focusing on the dynamic and inquisitive Imogene Scott (played by Violett Beane). Imogene inadvertently finds herself entangled in a precarious situation (partly of her own making) and emerges as the prime suspect in a locked room murder mystery. The stage for this enigmatic plot? A lavishly restored Mediterranean ocean liner. The suspects? Every indulged guest and every fatigued crew member. The challenge? To exonerate herself, she must collaborate with an individual she vehemently dislikes — Rufus Cotesworth (portrayed by Mandy Patinkin), renowned as the world’s preeminent detective.
Produced by ABC Signature, “Death and Other Details” is helmed by Mike Weiss and Heidi Cole McAdams, who not only penned the series but also spearhead its executive production and serve as showrunners. The pilot was directed by Marc Webb, who also joins the production as an executive producer alongside Mark Martin for Black Lamb. Additionally, David Petrarca assumes the role of an executive producer.
