Keke Palmer Joins Stellar Cast Including Keanu Reeves and Seth Rogen in Aziz Ansari’s “Good Fortune”
Keke Palmer has been announced as the latest addition to the ensemble cast of “Good Fortune,” a forthcoming comedy helmed by Aziz Ansari in his directorial debut. Palmer will join Ansari himself, along with acclaimed actors Seth Rogen and Keanu Reeves.
While specifics regarding Palmer’s role and the film’s storyline remain tightly guarded, production for “Good Fortune” is currently underway in Los Angeles, with Lionsgate providing backing for the project.
Expressing his enthusiasm for Palmer’s involvement, Ansari stated, “Keke is a delight to work with. I’m so happy she’s a part of our cast and even more excited to provide a quote for this press release announcing her casting.”
“Good Fortune” marks Ansari’s second venture into directing, following his previous effort on the comedic drama “Being Mortal,” which was shelved indefinitely in 2022 due to concerns over actor Bill Murray’s alleged misconduct on set.
Producing alongside Ansari are Anthony Katagas and Alan Yang, with Jonathan McCoy serving as executive producer alongside Aniz Ansari. At Lionsgate, Brady Fujikawa and Jon Humphrey are overseeing the project.
Palmer, who gained prominence as a young talent in the family film “Akeelah and the Bee,” has since solidified her presence in the industry with roles in diverse projects such as Jordan Peele’s “Nope,” the star-studded “Hustlers” led by Jennifer Lopez, and Nickelodeon’s “True Jackson, VP.” Additionally, Palmer hosts the popular podcast “Baby, This Is Keke Palmer.”
Represented by 3 Arts, LUNA PR, and Hertz Lichtenstein Young & Polk, Palmer’s inclusion in “Good Fortune” adds further anticipation to the already star-studded cast, promising an exciting addition to Ansari’s directorial repertoire.
