Pop sensation Charli XCX has stormed back onto the music scene with her latest single “Von Dutch” and an exciting announcement regarding her forthcoming album, “Brat,” set for a summer release.
“Von Dutch” sees Charli XCX channeling the vibrant energy of her PC Music era, accompanied by an electrifying video directed by Torso. In the visually captivating clip, she commandeers Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport, causing a commotion as she navigates her way onto a plane and eventually finds herself amidst the chaos of the baggage claim, circling the conveyor belt akin to a piece of luggage.
Produced by Easyfun, “Von Dutch” marks Charli XCX’s first release since her contribution to the “Barbie” soundtrack with “Speed Drive.” Her previous album, “Crash,” which debuted in March 2022, offered a thought-provoking exploration of pop stardom. Unlike her experimental projects “Pop 2” and “How I’m Feeling Now,” “Crash” presented a return to conventional pop stylings, highlighted by tracks like “Good Ones,” “New Shapes,” and “Beg for You.”
