Netflix has unveiled an impressive lineup of Indian content for the year 2024, promising a diverse array of films, series, and documentaries featuring top-tier talent from the industry.
Among the notable additions to the slate is the comedy film “Wild Wild Punjab,” produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, and directed by Simarpreet Singh. The story follows a group of inebriated friends on a mission to seek revenge for a breakup by crashing their friend’s ex-girlfriend’s wedding. Starring Varun Sharma, Sunny Singh, Manjot Singh, Jassie Gill, Patralekhaa, and Ishita Raj, the film promises laughter and closure in equal measure.
Neeraj Pandey’s heist thriller “Sikandar Ka Muqaddar” spans 18 years and promises to take audiences on a gripping ride across multiple locations in India and beyond.
The scripted series lineup includes the highly anticipated thriller “IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack,” co-created by Anubhav Sinha and Trishant Srivastava. The series recounts the harrowing events of the hijacking of Indian Airlines flight IC 814 en route from Kathmandu to New Delhi in 1999. With a stellar ensemble cast featuring Vijay Verma, Patralekhaa, Pankaj Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Arvind Swami, and Dia Mirza, the series promises intense drama and suspense.
